Classes are drop-in.

They will begin on Wednesday March 5th and continue every Wednesday and Saturday until April 26th. 

 

You can interchange freely between Wednesday and Saturday or reinforce your practice by coming to both.

You can pay each session individually or in sets of 4 or all 8 sessions together. 

Contribution: $15 USD per class

Mexicans: 200 pesos per class 

Methods of Self-Remembrance Online Series

 

 

In this 8- week series we will explore different exercises from the Gurdjieff Sacred Dances and Movements.

 

These exercises are meant to unite the 3 brains of our being: the physical brain, the emotional brain, and the intellectual brain. 

The Sacred Movements and exercises and the music which accompanies them demands of us a special kind of attention and engages our three brains simultaneously.  In this way we practice unity of being - for some moments we are deeply present in all the parts of our being and we cease to be divided. The Movements and its exercises are a great way to deepen our meditation.

 

The elements we will work with and develop through our exercises are:​​​​

- will 

- memory

- attention

- sensing

- feeling

- hearing​

- rhythm

- coordination

- engaging left-right brain hemispheres

These elements strengthen our capacity to stay present and centered; through this we become less susceptible to distraction and manipulation. Along with our inner work which focuses on self-observation, we gain more sovereignty for ourselves and are able to live our lives from our essence rather than our conditioned mind and personality.
